Business applications for the Business Grant Programme for the employment of 4,000 unemployed people aged 30 and over in the country's Most Developed Regions (MDR), with a focus on women, have started.
Specifically, it concerns the Regional Units:
- of the Western Sector of Athens
- of Western Attica and Piraeus
- of the South Aegean Administrative Region
The action is implemented in cycles as follows:
- The first cycle involves the creation of 3,000 full-time jobs
- The next cycles concern the creation of the remaining jobs until the total budget of the action is exhausted.
- Each subsequent cycle shall be launched 4 months after the closing date for the submission of applications for funding in the previous cycle. The opening and closing dates for applications are published on the OAED website, the website of the Ministry of Development and Investment and the NSRF website.
Target Audience
The action is aimed at private enterprises and generally private sector employers engaged in regular economic activity.
A prerequisite for the inclusion of a company in the action is that it has not reduced its staff during the last quarter before the date of submission of the application for funding (calendar). It must also not have received funding from state aid of more than €200,000 in the previous 3 years (current and two previous).
As long as the number of staff on the start date of the audited quarter is the same and on the date of submission of the application it remains stable - regardless of whether there are any staff changes during this period - it is possible to integrate the enterprise into the action. The above condition of non-reduction of staff should be respected and for the period of time from the date of submission of the application up to Date of adoption of the approval decision of the business in action.
Details of the eligible business categories in section 5.2 of the Call (see Relevant files).
