EXIKONOMO KATIKON II – From July 12, 2019 the applications of the new cycle

The joint decision of the ministers of Environment and Energy and Economy and Development is expected to be issued next week for the implementation guide of the new program, I save at home II.

The Guide is expected to define the criteria, terms and conditions for the submission by households of applications for inclusion in the funded actions. The platform that operated in the previous cycle will be gradually opened by groups of regions from July 12, 2019, while one of the changes in the inclusion criteria is the broadening of the income limit of the last category. Specifically, in all likelihood, the seventh category in which individuals and families with an income of up to 40,000 euros were able to grant an interest-free loan, not a subsidy, will rise to 80,000 euros.

More specifically, in the previous I save at home the upper limit of individual and family income was 40,000 euros. In the new program it is expected to reach €80,000. Households with this amount of income will only be entitled to an interest-free loan, i.e. they will not be able to receive a grant.

The maximum subsidy rates, depending on income criteria, are not expected to change. They will range between 50% and 70%, increased by 5% per protected member. The budget of Escomon Kat’ Oikon which will run from July is estimated at 270 million euros and around 25,000 households can be financed.

The new Home Savings provides, in addition to the direct subsidy for households and the loan subsidy (interest-free) for households that want to proceed with construction work in order to achieve cost savings energy.

There are four interventions financed:
