YPAAT: In public consultation the investment support measure for processing, marketing and development of agricultural products, amounting to 135 million euros
After the cooperation of the Minister of Rural Development & Food, Konstantinos Tsiaras, with the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Dionysis Stamenitis and the responsible general secretary for Union Resources and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Rural Development & Food, Dimitris Od. Papagiannidis, on 26/06/2024 the Ministerial Decision on the implementation of Intervention P3-73-2.3 “Support for investments in the processing / marketing and/or development of agricultural products of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy of Greece (SS KAP)” was given on 26/06/2024 in a public consultation. 2023-2027″.
The goals of the intervention
Objective of Intervention P3-73-2.3 “Support for investments in manufacturing/ marketing and/or development of agricultural products“, are:
- the increase in the added value of agricultural products,
- meeting the needs of the country in processed quality products,
- increasing the possibilities of penetration in international markets,
- the utilization of the raw material of primary production,
- the integration of innovation,
- the development of environmental protection methods and procedures
- the limitation as far as possible of the phenomenon of climate change.
Determining importance for investment support is both the preservation and creation of jobs, contributing to social stability and economic development at local and national level as well as the protection of human health. Development priority, in case of grant is given to enterprises processing and standardization of labeled products (National and Union Standards) and to enterprises participating in schemes contract agriculture in accordance with the objectives of the HYPAAT.
In the context of Intervention Π3-73-2.3 support applications are being strengthened that mainly concern the establishment, modernization, expansion, relocation, mergers of production units and storage areas from beneficiaries who process/process as raw material products (agricultural products) of Annex I of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union for the production of finished products which also belong to said Annex I (agricultural products).
The amount of Public Aid provided for the financing of Intervention P3-73-2.3 amounts to 135,000,000 euros. The budget limits of the Intervention actions may vary between 400,001 euros and 5,000,000 euros.
