According to the Deputy Minister of Economy Alexis Haritsis, appropriate tools are being developed to strengthen exports and improve the extroversion of the Greek economy and in this context, all NSRF programmes for entrepreneurship provide for greater support for companies that develop export activity.
Το πρόγραμμα Επιχειρούμε Έξω, που αναμένεται να ανακοινωθεί το αμέσως προσεχώς διάστημα, θα χρηματοδοτεί τη συμμετοχή των επιχειρήσεων σε διεθνείς εμπορικές εκθέσεις καθώς και άλλους τρόπους προώθησης των προϊόντων τους στις διεθνείς αγορές με τον διαθέσιμο προϋπολογισμό να ανέρχεται στο συνολικό ποσό των 30.000.000 ευρώ (δημόσια δαπάνη).

The beneficiaries of the aid will be small, micro and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises engaged in an export activity or intending to develop and active in the following sectors:
- Food Industry
- Distillery
- Manufacture of textiles
- Manufacture of clothing
- Manufacture of leather and leather goods
- Manufacture of wood and manufacture of wood and cork products, except furniture, manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting
- Paper making and manufacture of paper products
- Printing and reproduction of recorded media
- Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products
- Manufacture of chemicals and products
- Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations
- Manufacture of rubber and plastic products
- Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products
- Manufacture of basic metals
- Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment
- Manufacture of computers, electronics and optical products
- Manufacture of electrical equipment
- Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c.
- Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers
- Manufacture of other transport equipment
- Manufacture of furniture
- Other manufacturing activities.

The starting date for eligibility of expenditure will be the date of electronic submission of the application for funding and the eligible costs shall be the costs for participation of beneficiaries in trade fairs and business missions.
Participation must concern:
- either the promotion of existing products of the enterprise in new markets,
- or the promotion of new products of the company in markets where it already operates.
In this context, the eligible costs shall be the following:
Participation in Trade Fairs outside the Greek Territory:
• Participation fee
• Travel and subsistence expenses of the company's representatives who will participate in each trade fair
• Pavilion rent, construction/configuration cost and equipment
• Shipping and return costs of the exhibits
• Interpretation – secretarial support
• Other costs related to the exhibition
Participation in Business missions abroad:
• Registration/participation fee
• Travel and subsistence expenses of the representative of the company participating in the business mission,
• Cost of renting a room to hold business meetings
• Cost of presenting the company and organizing personalized B2B meetings
• Interpretation – secretarial support
• Cost of transporting samples
• Other mission-related costs (if not included in the organisational cost of participation).
"The Ministry of Economy and Development, recognizing the need to strengthen the export orientation of enterprises in the manufacturing sector as an important condition for economic growth, since the increase in exports stimulates employment, the value chain grows with multiplier effects on other sectors of activity and companies increase their turnover abroad and upgrade the quality of their products to cope with the intense competition in the international environment, took the initiative to design the state aid action of companies with the distinctive title "We Venture Outside", which will be implemented in all 13 regions of the country", as stated in the program guide.
