EIT Digital has announced the launch of the Venture Program for 2022 with the aim of supporting newly established business groups (startups) in their business journey. Business groups from the Baltic countries, Eastern and Southern Europe (the full list of the here), with business plans and activity in the deep tech sector, have the opportunity to apply until 8 April 2022.
This unique initiative offers an intensive eight-week pre-acceleration program. This program is organized by EIT Digital and implemented by regional partners. Selected teams will receive guidance on how to:
- to develop their Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- to establish their startup company
- to raise capital from investors
In the final "PitchDays", teams have the opportunity to pitch their business solution by presenting it to investors, potential customers and experts from the technology community.
Support to startups from the Venture program 2022
Over the last four years, the EIT Digital venture programme 2022 has supported more than 93 early-stage business teams. Also more than 200 entrepreneurs. Many of these teams have attracted investors during the pre-acceleration phase of the programme or shortly afterwards. For example, in the 2021 program, Horsano, a Polish remote health monitoring startup, raised the required funds immediately after the program ended.
The Lithuanian startup Revolab is another impressive Venture Program success story. Through Venture 2020, in a record time of twelve months, Revolab managed to achieve, sign major pre-order agreements. At the same time, it received CE and FDA certifications, which helped its expansion in the USA.
