Τέσσερα εθνικά επιχειρησιακά προγράμματα του νέου ΕΣΠΑ 2014-2020, ύψους 20,8 δις ευρώ.

One program will absorb 25% of the NSRF budget, aiming at competitiveness and entrepreneurship.

Only 3% will be allocated to the modernisation of the public sector.

A third programme will absorb 24% of the funds. It will concern entrepreneurship in relation to the environment and transport.

Training and employment receive 13% of the funds, but a significant amount of money will also be made available to this sector through the regions.

The remaining 35% will be forwarded to the regions.

The above results from today's submission of the Greek proposal to the European Commission, as submitted by the Minister of Development and Competitiveness K. Hatzidakis.

According to the Minister, a new NSRF executive team is being created in each Ministry. They will deal with both the design and the responsibility for the implementation of the programmes in cooperation with the implementing body.

In relation to the goals, that the costs for innovation are doubled and emphasis is given to the extroversion of Greek entrepreneurship.

Areas of interest for the programmes

In particular, to strengthen social cohesion, active employment policies are targeted. They concern young people, women, the long-term unemployed, reducing early school leaving, higher education, a Youth Guarantee scheme, etc.

According to the competent minister, in total today the regions managed 22% of the NSRF. In the new one, they will manage 35% of the NSRF resources and despite the reduction of resources, all regions will have to manage more funds by at least 15% compared to the current program.

According to the timetable, final EU adoption is expected at the end of February 2014. The programmes will also be approved at the end of the first half of 2014.

"Only by utilizing the NSRF, Greeks will not eat with golden spoons", stressed Mr. Hatzidakis to demonstrate that the new NSRF is a valuable tool but not the only one that will lead to the exit from the crisis.
