The University of Piraeus is a scientific partner of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels

A scientific partner of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) is now the University of Piraeus. On the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Mr. Alexandros Vassilikos and the Rector of the University of Piraeus, Professor Angelos Kotios, the agreement between the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the University of Piraeus focuses on the joint exploitation of the potential of the two institutions to promote their goals.

In particular, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels:
  1. It will provide data and information at its disposal. The aim is to support the potential (faculty members, researchers and students) of the University of Piraeus in its academic work.
  2. It will provide the University of Piraeus with infrastructure and services in the fields of promotion and communication to meet needs related to its field of activity.

iii. It will support within its capabilities the events of the University of Piraeus.

  1. It will utilize the University of Piraeus as a scientific partner in issues related to its field of activity.
  2. It will utilize the University of Piraeus in educational activities of hoteliers and members of the Chamber and in subjects related to its activity.
  3. It will contribute to the networking of executives and scientific teams of the University of Piraeus with collaborating parties (institutions, programs, services, chambers, businesses, etc.) of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels. The aim is to undertake initiatives for the development and organization of new collaborations and actions. Collaborations and donations should be related to the submission of European and research projects in areas of common interest.
For its part, the University of Piraeus:
  1. He will be a scientific partner of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels on issues related to its field of activity.
  2. It will provide educational infrastructure and will contribute to informing hoteliers members of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels on subjects related to the activity of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.

iii. It will provide data and information (studies, surveys) that will assist the work of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Institute of Tourism Research and Forecasting (ITEP), which is the research body of the hotel industry and main partner of the Chamber.

  1. It will provide know-how and expertise on issues related to its field of activity, to support the activities of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator of the Chamber. As well as the support of the products-brands of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels "ELLINIKO PROINO" and "Boutique hotel".
  2. It will direct part of the academic research (dissertations, etc.) on needs and research issues related to the activity of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and FORTH.
  3. It will undertake joint initiatives for the development and organisation of actions related to the joint submission of European and research projects in scientific fields of common scientific interest.

vii. It will ensure a space for the promotion or promotion in time of sponsors of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels at PAPEI events.

It should be noted that for the implementation of the actions resulting from the cooperation protocol signed, individual agreements will be drawn up specifying the subject of each cooperation. It is also planned to set up joint working groups.
