StartSmart SEE Summit 2024: The challenges and opportunities for investing in technology startups

The StartSmart SEE Summit 2024 is coming on June 26, at the Eugenidou Foundation, with the theme “Sparking Innovation, Empowering Future”.

As stated in a StartSmart South Eastern Europe (SEE) announcement, the event will begin with greetings from the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, who is leading the effort to introduce innovation in the Greek Armed Forces. The Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou, will close the event with a speech that will emphasize the importance of digital innovation in shaping the future technological landscape of Greece and will present the awards to the winners of the Accelerator.

The key speeches from Paul Cheek, Executive Director of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, and Panagiotis Sevdalis, Program Officer at the European Innovation Council, will provide inspiration, focusing on the future of technology and strategies approach innovation. participants will have the opportunity to attend a series of expert panels that will explore critical issues such as technology transfer, commercialization of research and investment strategies in technology start-ups enterprises. The Laboratory to Market panel will provide insight on the research commercialization pathway, while the Empowering the Future will discuss the intersection of defense, security and technology.

The conference will also examine the challenges and opportunities in investment in technology startups, presenting insights from key industry executives and a panel discussion with distinguished investors. The discussion will aim to offer practical advice on securing funding and creating successful tech start-ups. One of the most anticipated parts of the event will be the Demo Day, which will present the finalists of the StartSmart SEE Accelerator.
