After two absolutely successful cycles, Start at Upstream is back once again. The high-level 12-month paid internship program of the Greek multinational technology company - a leader in the field of mobile marketing Upstream, this time offers education and training to young DevOps Engineers. Interested candidates can submit their CVs until April 8, 2022.

Conditions Participation in Start at Upstream

A prerequisite for participating in the new Start at Upstream cycle for DevOps Engineers is to have a degree or complete their studies in computer science, computer science, programming or a similar field. The selection of participants in the program will be made after special evaluations and interviews. Through these, candidates will have the opportunity to get to know Upstream and its executives.

The five selected DevOps Engineers will begin their internship in May. They will then join Upstream for a whole year.

The experience of young engineers will begin with a high-level, one-month training program with training on all the different aspects of DevOps engineering:

• Programming
• automation
• the management and monitoring of production systems
• up to and including CI/CD

This is a uniquely designed programme, which would normally cost several thousand euros to watch. Participants in Start at Upstream, however, will have the opportunity to watch it completely free of charge. At the same time, they will be rewarded with a very competitive package and extra benefits, such as:

Then and until the end of the program, the new engineers will join upstream's DevOps Engineers teams. They'll work on real products and services, addressed to a expanded international market of 1.2 billion mobile phone users in dynamically growing markets around the world, such as Brazil, Nigeria and South Africa. Throughout the 12 months, each participant will have one of Upstream's most experienced DevOps Engineers as a mentor, in order to answer any questions and guide them.

It is recalled that the previous cycles of Start at Upstream were aimed at young software engineers. During the first cycle, which began in 2019, 11 software engineers were trained. Of these, 7 were hired by the company after the end of their 12-month internship. The second cycle of the programme is still ongoing. The ten new software engineers have already completed their training. They are currently joining upstream's teams of software engineers, where they will complete their internship in November 2022.
