A new Pilot Business Plan Support Programme for unemployed young people aged 18 to 29 will be launched by the OAED on Monday 27 January 2020. The deadline for applications from the unemployed will be 28 February 2020.

The aim of the new program is to support unemployed young people aged 18 to 29 who wish to develop a business activity, in order to turn their business ideas into quality and sustainable business plans. Candidates will be invited to apply for their participation in counseling and coaching activities, with the ultimate goal of enhancing their ability to access the labor market, through the design and implementation of new businesses.

OAED - Pilot Program for the Support of Business Plans for unemployed young people aged 18 to 29

Specifically, the main axes of the program are as follows:

• Provision of Business Initiative Consulting (SAEP) services to up to 5,000 unemployed young people aged 18 to 29, registered with OAED, through a 5-day new entrepreneurship seminar
• Provision of coaching services for the maturation of their business ideas and the formulation of viable business plans to up to 3,000 (out of 5,000) unemployed young people aged 18 to 29, registered with the OAED. The coaching will include six sessions (1 face-to-face, 5 remote).
• Announcement of an entrepreneurship program for 2,500 young unemployed aged 18 to 29. In this program, all unemployed people will have the opportunity to participate, including those who will have completed the actions of counseling and coaching business plans of this call.

Specifically, through a Public Call, unemployed people will be invited to submit an online application, accompanied by their business plan on the platform of State Aid Information System (SSI) . Applications will be evaluated by means of a Comparative Evaluation, based on specific criteria for the award of points. The most comprehensive and viable proposals will then be selected. Emphasis will be placed on women who will fill at least 60% of the positions in the programme.

The amount of the grant and the duration of the programme will be 10,000 euros for 12 months or 17,000 euros for 18 months. The program, total budget 43.400.000€, is implemented under the priority axis for "Facilitation of Access to Employment for Young People up to 29 years old of REEDIBM 2014 – 2020", which is co-funded by the Youth Employment Initiative - "YEI".
