From Monday 31 July 2023 at 09:00 a .m., the online submission of applications for the selection of trainees at the Public Vocational Training Institutes (Public Vocational Training Institutes) under the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports for the training year 2023-2024 begins.

The 125 Public IEKs of the Ministry of National Defence offer quality free vocational training with paid internships and housing allowance in 96 modern specialities, which meet the needs of the labour market and offer great employment prospects. The course lasts for a total of five (5) semesters, including the period of paid internship. Graduates are awarded a Diploma of Professional Specialisation, Education and Training, level 5 , following certification examinations, and are then given the opportunity to be admitted to HEI departments of a related speciality to that of the above diploma, following qualifying examinations, which are conducted under the supervision of the HEI.

Secondary school graduates, without age limit, are entitled to submit an online application for selection until Wednesday 6 September 2023, at 15:00. Relevant instructions for interested candidates are provided on the home page of the Information System at the link: https://diek.it.minedu.gov.gr

For the successful candidates of the Public IEKs of the Ministry of Defence who submitted a parallel computerized form , an announcement has been issued on the website of the Ministry of Defence regarding the period of online registration and the necessary supporting documents.

Graduates of EPAL, TEE B' CYCLE and TEL can enroll in the 3rd semester of the Public IEK of the Ministry of Defence in related specialties with the professional sector from which they graduated. In this case, the registration process is not done electronically, but by submitting an application to the IEKs of their interest, which offer a third semester in these specialisations, from 1 to 15 September 2023.
