“Open Day – Meet the Schools” of DYPA in Thessaloniki on September 8 and 9
The Public Employment Service (DYPA) invites the young men and women of Thessaloniki at the event “Open Day – Meet the Schools of DYPA”, which is organized on Sunday and Monday September 8-9 from 11:00 to 21:00 in Aristotelous Square.
>>
This is the 8th event of DYPA’s “Open Schools” and the 2th organized in an open space, after the corresponding one in Athens that was held in Syntagma Square last April.
The “Open Day” events aim to inform students and parents about the operation of free DYPA Schools throughout Greece and the philosophy of the dual system applied to the Vocational Schools (ΕΠΑΣ) Apprenticeships (which combines theoretical and laboratory training in the classroom with the apprenticeship program -practice- in the workplace).
Also, they provide the opportunity to inform about the prospects that open up for EPAS students and students who will choose the Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK), as they gain practical experience working in businesses, enhance their professional profile and get direct contact with their industry, while creating a professional network of contacts that facilitates their rapid integration into the labor market.
At a time when companies state that it is difficult to find personnel with the knowledge and skills of technical professions, the “Open Day” event in Thessaloniki is an opportunity to inform young people, parents and businesses of the city and the wider region, about the Schools of DYPA and about the study programs, which are updated with the cooperation of University Institutions such as Aristotleion University of Thessaloniki, as well as companies that lead in their field of activity.
DYPA has initiated a process of building – energy upgrading and equipping the laboratories of its Schools, with resources of more than 143 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Fund and adjusts the study programs on an annual basis, with the aim of strengthening their interconnection with the needs of the labor market, in order to facilitate the rapid absorption of graduates into stable and quality jobs.
All information about the benefits, specialties and registration in the Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS) and the Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK) of DYPA can be found on the new website of the Schools: schools.dypa.gov.gr
