New Save: Plans to increase subsidy

The increase in the cost of construction materials by up to 30% in some cases, forces the Ministry of Environment and Energy to revise the amounts for the amount of the subsidy for the new Save, taking into account the appeals and proposals of market factors.
According to sources from ministry circles, the staff is considering both increasing the amount of the subsidy, as well as expanding the eligible costs after the consultation that preceded with stakeholders.
With the aim of the best possible protection of consumers, the staff of the Ministry of Environment and Energy is considering the possibility of including more materials that were excluded from the new Save. In this way, the beneficiaries are given the opportunity to choose the materials they want, based on their budget.
Subsidy increase for the new Save
According to reports, it is almost certain that the subsidy will increase. This increase is expected to be at 20 euros per square meter. It is recalled that with the data so far, the amount of the subsidy is at 180 euros per square meter. This amount now stands at EUR 200. This amount, however, is lower than the proposals tabled which also mentioned up to EUR 270 per square meter.
This is because, on the basis of a total budget of EUR 632 million, Euro, the ministry must act wisely. This budget will be allocated to 50,000 homes and the frameworks for bold increases are very narrow.
