myergani.gov.gr: The new platform of the Ministry of Labor is in operation

The new service of the Ministry of Labour, myergani.gov.gr, which is the first step in the implementation of the digital job card, is currently in pilot operation.

How myergani.gov.gr works

The search for information on myergani.gov.gra by the employee is done through 3 basic options:

  1. With the option "My Employers" he can have access to all the work relationships with the employers he has worked for (as long as they have been declared in PS ERGANI). He can also see the last recorded details of each employment relationship, as registered in the P.S. ERGANI from the declarations of the obliged employers.
  2. With the "Declarations" option, he can search for all the declarations (forms) that have been submitted to the P.S. ERGANI by his employers, classified in the following categories:
  • Start/End of Employment
  • Employment Changes (overtime, overtime, telecommuting)
  • Empty
  • Special Employment Regimes
  • COVID-19 measures
  • So
  1. With the option "Covid-19 Payments" you have access to all the payments you have received from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the context of the COVID-19 measures.

The digital job card

The implementation of the digital card will start with large companies that already use timesheet systems for their employees, usually online at myergani.gov.gr, and will quickly expand across the market.

The system will be implemented as follows:

a) Within the first quarter of 2022, the electronic "brain" of the job card will be ready, i.e. the electronic system, which will receive the information digitally entered by both employees and employers. At the same time, a series of bureaucratic procedures are abolished with the aim of facilitating employees and businesses.

b) Within the first half of 2022, the implementation of the Digital Work Card will begin with monitoring of real employment in specific sectors of the economy, such as banks and supermarkets. Other businesses, larger and smaller, will quickly follow.

The digital card will not necessarily be a physical card like the ones that many businesses that implement time and clock systems already have today. It can be an application on the mobile phone and a program on the company's computers, both interconnected with the TOOL. Of course, the timekeeping systems where they exist will be maintained and will be interconnected with the new system, in order to operate in a digital way.

It is also noted that:

  • The system will have a display of all legal overtime limits, daily rest time, etc. as provided by law in order to create security for employees and employers.
  • The system will have "cutters" to prevent irregular declarations.
  • Provisions will be made at a technical level for all the special conditions recorded during the consultation, such as indicative work performed outside the company headquarters, business trips, extraordinary absence of the employee for personal reasons, etc.

The evolution from P.S. ERGANI in ERGANI II

The digital transformation of the monitoring system includes the upgrade and evolution of the P.S. ERGANI to ERGANI II. The implementation of the project is already underway since last June and is expected to be completed within the first half of 2022.

The main objects that this action will cover are the following:

  • Change of design philosophy in the data submission procedures by businesses oriented towards the required functions (process oriented) and not based on the forms already in use
  • Improvement / Extension of Submission Mechanism
  • Study on the availability of APD preparation data
  • Broadening the Scope for the more complete mapping of Employment in the Labor Market
  • Creation of a Toolbox for Employers and Employees
  • Creating an Open Data Interface
  • Alignment with Gov.gr

The reduction of administrative burden for businesses, simplification of procedures by abolishing the multiple declarations for the same subject that employers are obliged to submit today, digitization of processes which until today are realized manuscripts such as the overdue submission and PES amending declarations and the broadening of the scope in order to cover additional categories of employees, are the main objectives of the system upgrade.
