The Façade program was activated, which is implemented in partnership with the municipality of Athens, the Anaplasi S.A. and the Technical Chamber of Greece . Through the program, incentives are provided to property owners within the Municipality of Athens for the restoration, maintenance and aesthetic upgrading of the facades of buildings.
Who joins
All private buildings: detached houses, apartment buildings and listed properties can join the Façade programme and receive a subsidy. Therefore, buildings owned by the public sector, buildings owned by NPOs and NPIs of the wider public sector are excluded from the programme.
Four objectives
The program will serve four objectives concerning the building stock of the central municipality, which are summarized as follows:
- Aesthetic upgrading of the buildings of Athens
- Highlighting the building wealth of the capital
- Dealing with aging and deterioration of buildings - protection and promotion of the city's real estate
- Liberation of Athens from the unsightly image of the artificial "forest" of antennas that alter the appearance of the city
The subsidy rate is set at 100% of the maximum values of the work costs based on the Official Gazette 1358/B'/01.08.2007, while the maximum amount of the subsidy is 6,000 euros per building. For preserved buildings, the work subsidy is increased by 35% and the maximum subsidy is set at 7,200 euros.

- Roof face repair
- Repair and painting of Exterior Frames
- Exterior painting and maintenance
- Repair of plasters, plasters and crowns
- Grinding, polishing and repair of orthomarbling
- Moving air conditioners
- Hide air conditioners
- Moving Satellite Dishes
- Removal of illegal advertising and business signs
- Replacement of Individual Antennas
- Planting Trees
- Planting Shrubs
