Innovation Greece: New initiatives to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship
The Hellenic Association of Innovative Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovation Greece, continues and intensifies its initiatives aimed at strengthening innovation, healthy entrepreneurship, sustainability and social development, through good business practices and strategic partnerships.
At the same time, it seeks the development of a competitive and extroverted ecosystem based on dynamic and innovative SMEs, which create products and services of high added value, both in nationally as well as globally. In this context, it announces new initiatives and upcoming actions. Specifically:
Innovation Greece Venture Builder (IGVB)
The Innovation Greece Venture Builder (IGVB) is a new support mechanism that aims to accelerate the transfer of innovation into tangible products and services, with in mind the development and sustainability of the Greek ecosystem.
The initiative was presented on November 19, 2024, in the context of an online event, where the IGVB’s field of contribution to the strengthening of Greek entrepreneurship and the development of a collaborative culture in the young and mature innovation small and medium enterprises, being in full alignment with the national agenda of Greece to support innovation and entrepreneurship as key drivers of economic development.
Fueling the Future of Greek Entrepreneurship: UK-Greece Collaborative Pathways for SME Success
Within the context of initiatives that promote innovation and extroversion of Greek small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Innovation Greece is organizing the event “Fuelling the Future of Greek Entrepreneurship: UK-Greece Collaborative Pathways for SME Success”, on January 21, 2025, at the Royal Olympic Hotel Hotel, Athens.
The event is co-organized with PRAXI Network, as well as with the support of British Embassy in Athens and aims to strengthen Greek innovative businesses, in order to expand into international markets, with the main focus being access to funds, know-how and opportunities for international development.
The event will be attended by Elevate Greece, NBG Business Seeds, as well as strategists representatives of the investment ecosystem of Greece and the United Kingdom, presenting available development opportunities aimed at innovative small and medium enterprises.
Innovation & Pitching Workshop for startups and research groups
In the context of the upcoming event and the actions of the Innovation Greece Venture Builder, Innovation Greece is sending an open invitation to:
- researchers and academics with ideas for commercial exploitation (Group Alpha).
- companies at an early stage of development that need strategic support (Group Beta).
- companies seeking international growth through financing and strategic guidance (Group Sigma)
express their interest in participating in a closed Innovation & Pitching Workshop.
After evaluation of their business proposal, 10 selected teams will take part in the specialized workshop which will take place on January 22, 2025 at the Royal Olympic Hotel.
The business proposals that will be received until Monday, December 30, 2024 will be evaluated based on their innovation, viability and business strategy by a group of experts from the agencies PRAXI Network, Elevate Greece, NBG Business Seeds as well as representatives of Greek and foreign Venture Capitals, headed by Christian Kumar, Strategy Director of Innovation Greece.
