A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Governor of Public Employment Service (DYPA), Spyros Protopsaltis and the CEO Balkan Region Huawei , Ren Fujun. The purpose of the Memorandum is to promote cooperation between the two institutions in order to achieve the following objectives:
- bridge the gap between Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) knowledge and skills
- provide training and educational solutions to meet industry's ICT requirements by offering specialised seminars in routing and switching and developing the social skills of the workforce
- create a talent ecosystem in the ICT industry and support the existing ICT workforce
- promote digital skills training for unemployed women
- support the ICT modernisation efforts in the CIPA
In particular, the cooperation includes the training of 500 unemployed women in basic ICT skills and courses by Huawei Certified ICT Associates. In addition, certification will be given after relevant examinations.
