“Farming with Intelligence”: Free participation of producers in the Project – Digital transformation of the agricultural sector

Greece paves the way for the digital transformation of the Agricultural Sector pan-European, with the “Agriculture with Intelligence” Project. With the main objective of coping with the major challenges such as climate change and the economic crisis, which it has been facing in recent years, the agri-food sector will have valuable data in its hands with the completion of this important project.
The “Agriculture with Intelligence” Project is implemented by the Union of Companies “NEUROPUBLIC – OTE – SKARMOUTSOS GEORGIOS” and is the first comprehensive approach to the collection and utilization of data at a national level. It is noteworthy that, apart from the above, it is the first time that all this valuable information which is collected, reaches the directly interested – the farmer – and indeed without cost.
Declaration of Participation in the Project “Agriculture with Intelligence” for free – The steps in detail
The interested owners of plots of land can be informed about the process from the website https://digiagro.gr.
Expressing interest is a quick and easy process. Just one click on the Express Interest button on the Main Page is enough.

Interested producers then fill in their contact information in the blank fields within the contact form that opens automatically and select the Next button.
Then, they are taken to a second form, where the interested parties fill in more information regarding their Region, their relationship with Technology, if they belong to a cooperative etc. As long as they enter all the necessary information in the blank fields, they can read the terms and conditions for the protection of personal data and click on the mandatory field I agree with the terms and conditions.

Finally, after checking that they have filled in their information correctly, they can press the Submit button.
When will producers have access to station data
At this stage, development of the overall infrastructure is underway with an estimated completion date of Spring 2025. The installation of the Data Collection Stations (DSS) is one of the initial stages of this. As the Project progresses, upon completion of the required procedures, producers who have declared their interest will receive an email notification on how to access the Station’s data.
“Agriculture With Intelligence”: A Visionary Project
The “Smart Agriculture” Project is synonymous with innovation, as it connects scientific knowledge and technology with agricultural practices, in order to provide multiple benefits to Greek farmers and members of agricultural cooperatives. The technological infrastructure that has been installed nationwide, collects heterogeneous data, which feeds the Intelligent Agriculture Software Platform significantly evolving the wider agricultural sector. All data is stored and processed using “smart” algorithms with the aim of being available in a user-friendly format.
The “Smart Agriculture” Project is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
