ExoEconomy 2023: The platform opens on 12 June – Terms and conditions

The time is counting down for the start of the application process for the ExoEconomy 2023 energy upgrade and home savings programme.

According to the latest update of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the digital application platform of ExoEconomy 2023, as well as the telephone service centre, will open on Monday 12 June 2023 and will remain open until 15 September 2023.

It is noted that the Programme is included in the "flagship projects" of the Recovery and Resilience Fund and in the RePower, with a total budget of 300 million euros, of which EUR 60 million is available for the following year. exclusively for vulnerable households to fight energy poverty. The number of beneficiaries is expected to exceed 20,000.

For each house selected for inclusion in ExoEconomy 2023, the objective is: mandatory upgrading by at least three energy categories, in order to ensure at least three primary energy savings in excess of 30%.

The conditions for ExoEconomy 2023

Houses selected for inclusion in the Programme must meet the following requirements:

  • To exist legally.
  • Not to have been declared demolishable.
  • To be used as main residences.
  • Be classified on the basis of the First Energy Performance Certificate (A' EPC) in a category lower or equal to C.
  • Not be eligible using short-term rentals (Airbnb type).
  • Once the application for inclusion in the Programme is deemed "Eligible in Principle", the issuance and submission to the Programme of an Electronic Building Identity Card is required.

The interventions

The interventions considered eligible are:

  • Replacement of frames.
  • Installation/Upgrade of thermal insulation.
  • Heating/cooling system upgrade.
  • Hot water system (DHW) using Renewable Energy Sources (RES).
  • Other energy-saving interventions (installation of smart home, smart load management systems, smart systems, smart systems, smart home, smart home, smart home, smart home, smart home
    heating/cooling control, intelligent remote control and monitoring systems).

Conditions for the inclusion of beneficiaries in the programme Economy 2023

Right in rem have natural persons (full ownership / usufruct / small ownership) in an eligible residence are eligible to participate in the Programme, while potential beneficiaries of the Home Improvement Programme cannot apply.

Only one application may be submitted for each eligible natural person.

A home with an active application to any of the Energy Upgrade Programs, Exoikonomisi kath' Oikon II, ExoEconomy - Autonomo, ExoEconomo 2021 and ExoEconomy - Renovate for Youth is not eligible to apply to this program.
