Emergency financial aid of 400 euros for the long-term unemployed was announced by the Prime Minister in his address today.
Referring to the economy, he stressed: "We have more than 14 billion euros. to support workers and businesses, as well as another ten billion euros. liquidity'. In this context, Mr. Mitsotakis announced the granting of emergency financial assistance, amounting to 400 euros, to the 155,000 long-term unemployed.

In summary, as the Prime Minister announced in his televised message:
- 155 000 long-term unemployed will receive emergency financial assistance of EUR 400.
- At the same time, we are proceeding with the implementation of specific training programs that also concern the long-term unemployed.

Timetables for extensions of unemployment benefits
It is also recalled that the following extensions have been granted for the expired unemployment benefits:

- For the unemployment benefits that expired in February, a 2-month extension has been granted (it concerns about 80,000 unemployed people).
- Unemployment benefits that expired in March have also been given a 2-month extension (concerns about 43,000 unemployed people)
- Finally, for the unemployment benefits that expired in April, there will be a 2-month extension.
