Applications will remain open until 2 October 2022 for participation in the Trophy-Top Open Innovation by Trata programme New Georgia-New Generation . A programme which is being implemented under the Trophy-Trophy initiative.

In the open call for the Trophy-roof Open Innovation by Trata can participate neophyte businesses and groups with new ideas or research projects. After evaluation, up to 10 startups and up 15 teams. These will qualify for the final phase of the programme. The startups and small businesses have the opportunity to participate in the action with ready-made solutions or products concerning alternative protein-based seafood or with solutions/products that could be pivoted to the needs of the programme. Researchers and students - groups and laboratories - can participate:

• with ideas for solutions/products related to protein seafood alternatives
• with research that produces solutions or products related to protein seafood alternatives
• by participating in schemes dealing with solutions/products related to alternative protein seafood

The benefits of participation in the Trophy-Top Open Innovation

Through their participation, startups and small businesses will witness:

• feedback sessions from TRATA executives
• presentations on strategy and issues by TRATA
• workshops on pivoting and innovation development from the ACEin of the Athens University of Economics and Business (OPA)
• mentoring sessions and presentations after the specialization of proposals, with the cooperation of TRATA executives and specialized partners

Afterwards, an evaluation process will be followed to select a solution that is of interest for a pilot application. The selected proposal/solution will receive a prize of €2,000 and the possibility of developing further cooperation with TRATA.

Research and student groups will also have access to:

• in the feedback sessions by TRATA executives
• in ideas generation bootcamp
• in innovation development workshops
• in team building/development activities from the OPA's ACEin
• in mentoring sessions
• in presentations after the specialization of proposals, with the cooperation of TRATA executives and specialized partners

The subsequent evaluation process will result in the selection of two solutions that are of interest for pilot application, which will receive a prize of €2,000 and the possibility of developing further cooperation with TRATA.
