DYPA: The new subsidized employment programs

A new generation of employment subsidy programs will be "run" by the Public Employment Service (DYPA-former OAED) in the near future. These amount to 5 and concern the following categories of unemployed:

1) 10,000 long-term unemployed over the age of 45 in areas of high unemployment (12-18 months, 653-746 euros monthly subsidy)

2) 10,000 unemployed who face significant obstacles to their integration or reintegration into the labor market (12-24 months, 700 - 750 euros monthly subsidy)

3) 5,000 unemployed in the green economy sectors with emphasis on women (15 months, 700 euros monthly subsidy)

4) 4,000 unemployed for business creation in the digital economy (12 months, 14,800 euros subsidy)

5) 10,000 young unemployed (for 7 months, 100% subsidy)

The planning of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs concerns 11 programs of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan "Greece 2.0" and the NSRF. These subsidize the recruitment of unemployed to 62,000 new full-time jobs. The budget amounts to almost EUR 590 million. euro. They also concern and 24,000 subsidized places from programs that "ran" in 2021 and remain open.

Already, in the first half of the year, four new programmes with 20,000 new jobs have been activated. In the summer Three projects are expected to start with another 30,000 places.

For example, the PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE implemented the employment programme for 4,000 unemployed people aged 30 and over in the Most Developed Regions (MDR) of the country, with a focus on women, as well as the programme professional experience with 100% subsidy for 10,000 unemployed young people, aged up to 29 years old in the regions of Attica and Central Macedonia, with NSRF funding.
