DYPA: Sunday 8 and Monday 9 September the “Open Day” of Vocational Schools in Thessaloniki
On Sunday and Monday, September 8-9, the Public Employment Service (DYPA) organizes the 8th “Open Day – Meet the Schools of DYPA” at Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki from 11:00 to 21:00.
In a celebratory two-day, in the heart of the city, educators, students and graduates of the Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS), the Experimental EPAS (PEPAS) and the Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK), as well as executives of the administration, will welcome the visitors and inform them about the free studies offered by DYPA in specialties in high demand in the labor market.
As we go through the registration period, the Open Day is an opportunity for young, parents as well as entrepreneurs to be informed about the dual education system applied to EPAS and Experimental EPAS and about initial professional training in SAEK.
This is an educational direction which is a priority choice for young men and women in many European countries, as it ensures studies in sought-after technical professions, learning in workplaces in real working conditions (on the job training) and rapid professional rehabilitation in good positions Almost 8 out of 10 graduates of EPAS work 12 months after the end of their studies and 45% of them find a job within 2-6 months after the end of their studies.
In the school year which starts soon, EPAS will provide 37 specializations, PEPAS have 3 specializations in tourism-hospitality, while SAEK offer 41 specializations in profession categories such as Applied Arts, Information and New Technologies, Health and Welfare, etc.
All the information about the benefits, the specialties and the registrations in the Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS), the Experimental EPAS and the Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK), of DYPA can be found on the new website of the Schools: schools.dypa.gov.gr
