Fishing

27 Programs
Fishing – Subsidies The fishing sector covers the continuously expanding fields of commercial fishing, shellfish harvesting, and the marketing and processing of fishery products. These sectors are managed by the General Directorate of Sustainable Fisheries of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food. In recent years, funding measures have been announced to support fishermen and residents of coastal areas, lakes, rivers and aquaculture zones — covering both fishing activities and alternative professional activities. These actions aim to strengthen the fishing profession and increase the added value of the local fishing sector (fishing, aquaculture, processing). See espa.io for detailed information on all subsidy programmes for the fishing sector.
