The re-launch of the agri-food sub-projects, Innovation and Green Transition in Agro-processing, Modernisation of the Primary Sector and Restructuring of Crops of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, announced by the the Secretary General of Agricultural Policy and International Relations Mr. Konstantinos Baginetas during his speech at an informative workshop, held in the framework of Zootechnia 2023.
Specifically, following the great interest shown in the sub-projects Innovation and Green Transition in the Processing of Agricultural Products and Modernization of the Primary Sector at a joint meeting of the Minister of Rural Development and Food Mr. George Georgantas and the Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Theo Skylakakis with the participation of Mr. Bagineta, it was decided to re-announce the two sub-projects.
It was also decided, given its importance for the primary sector and agri-food, to re-launch the Crop Restructuring sub-project. This will provide another opportunity for the Collective Schemes to expand their market outlets .
It should be noted that 69 proposals were submitted for the sub-project Restructuring of Crops for a total investment of € 46.840.700. The initial budget provided for was EUR 166 720 000.
"With the new notices cover the the real needs of the primary sector, the primary sector, the financial instruments of the Recovery Fund and the possibility to the country's agricultural economy, through modernization and its energy and digital upgrading, to become sustainable and competitive," the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said in an announcement.
