Giorgos Georgantas, Minister of Rural Development and Food for EFK

"The support we offer to our farmers is a political choice of the government, which contributes to strengthening the cohesion of Greek society. This is how we ensure the food sufficiency of our country. At the same time, it is an investment in our economy. The primary sector contributes more and more, every year, to GDP. At the same time, through the excellent quality of our products, it supports the largest industry in the country, tourism. The government stands by our farmers. We have made a commitment that no one will be left alone in the face of the crisis and we are honouring that commitment. We will continue to support our producers within the budgetary possibilities of our economy. Αναγνωρίζουμε ότι ο πρωτογενής τομέας μπορεί να συμβάλλει καθοριστικά στη διαμόρφωση ενός καλύτερου αύριο για το σύνολο των Ελλήνων».
