The image of Equifund is slowly being completed with Velocity Partners, one of the two new VCs getting approval from the European Investment Fund (EIF) and being released.

Velocity Partners will manage €24 million. and will focus on Pre-Seed and Seed investments. In addition to the EIF, the main financier is Eurobank and other Greek market groups from various sectors.
Velocity Partners' funders – partners will offer know-how and support to new companies by guiding them on the needs, challenges and opportunities for innovation in their workplaces. They will thus offer scope for development and experimentation as well as market access where appropriate.
Velocity Partners will invest 75.000€ to 150.000€ in Pre-Seed Startups and 200.000€ to 400.000€ in Seed. However, it will continue to invest in subsequent rounds.

The team consists of:
- Konstantinos Mavros, with international experience in the financial, energy and infrastructure sectors
- Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou, co-founder of Found.Ation and TEDxAthens
- Eric Parks, former executive of international advertising groups and active Angel Investor
- Achilleas Petropoulos, with many years of presence in large companies and experience as an investment advisor
