The organization, for the second year in Crete, of green entrepreneurship workshops, which will operate under the GreenTecLab - Empowering startups for climate protection project, announced the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Technical Schools of the Heraklion Chamber of Crete.
The green entrepreneurship workshops will be held online on April 5-6 and 12-14. The e-workshops can be attended by young people from all over Crete, who wish to develop "green" business ideas and establish their own "sustainable" startups for climate protection.
Who GreenTecLab is aimed at:
- entrepreneurs
- college students
- young scientists
- representatives of organizations or businesses
- unemployed
- producers
- incubators
- academic institutions
- local groups
- businesses
- business consultants
- startuppers
In the context of the green entrepreneurship workshops, topics related to "green" entrepreneurship and new "green" technologies and innovations in Greece and abroad will be developed.
Participants in the climate protection startups program:
- they will be informed about how a business plan is drawn up
- they will have the opportunity to present their ideas during special workshops
- and prepare for their participation in a relevant competition
The green entrepreneurship workshops will be held in Greek and English. Speakers and entrepreneurs from Germany, Spain and Slovakia will participate.
The above-mentioned competition will take place after the completion of the workshop cycle, specifically on May 12, 2022, in Heraklion, Crete.
The participants will present their business ideas and in this context the five most innovative proposals will be highlighted and awarded. Those who support them will enjoy mentoring services for one year, from mentors of the program, while similar assistance will also be given to agencies in Crete.
Funding bodies (climate protection startups)
The GreenTecLab project is funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the Federal Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. Its coordinator is the research Institute Fiap e.V. and its partners are the University of Cádiz, the University of Seville, the City Hall of Cádiz from Spain, Pedal-Consulting from Slovakia and the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Greece.
It is noted that in Greece the GreenTecLab project is under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
Supporters of the project for the actions in Crete are: Academy of Entrepreneurship Training, American Agricultural School, Municipality of Anogeia, Municipality of Platanias, Municipality of Heraklion, Hellenic Mediterranean University, Heinrich Böll Foundation, Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology & Aquaculture, Region of Crete, Polytechnic of Crete and the Mediterranean Agri-Food Competence Center (MACC).
