The first decisions approving aid applications for the sub-project have been given the green light: Green Agrotourism of the agri-food actions of the Recovery and Resilience Fund of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The initial budget of the call was 49 million. euros, the amount increased to 74 million euros, bringing all 87 applications submitted within budget.
"The Green Agrotourism sub-project attracted investors of all categories from all regions of the country, confirming the importance of the ESAA and its role in meeting the financial needs for investment in the sector. Through the rapid absorption of the project budget, using the available tools, we will achieve the improvement of the resilience of the agricultural sector as well as the Interface of Primary and Secondary Sector with the Tertiary Sector, at a time when the importance of the qualitative differentiation of the country's tourism product is highlighted", the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Tourism points out.
Please note, that according to the LDA continues the evaluation of aid applications to the subprojects of the Recovery and Resilience Fund (RDF) in the General Secretariat of Agricultural Policy and International Relations of the Ministry.
Green Agrotourism - The new model of rural entrepreneurship

Limiting the climate crisis
"With the announcement of the results for Agrotourism, the implementation of an important action, within the framework of the Recovery Fund, which aims to contribute to improving the position of farmers in the value chain, to enhance the competitiveness of products through their connection with tourism and to incorporate new, environmentally friendly processes, which help to mitigate the phenomenon of climate change," said Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food Dionysis Stamenitis.
He noted that "the data shows that there has been significant interest from investors and this is something we are pleased with".
