“Switch device for business”: The application program remains open
The Ministry of Environment and Energy announces that those interested in joining the program: “Change device for businesses”, totaling 105.6 million euros, can submit their applications even after May 15, which was scheduled until former.
For applications, the method of direct evaluation (First in-First out) will be applied. Consequently, those that will be approved will commit and budget according to the time order of their submission. All applications submitted after the available budget has been exhausted will be classified as runners-up and a corresponding procedure will be followed.
The “Change Device for Business” program
The program, with a total budget of 105.6 million euros, is implemented in the framework of the action “Saving – Doing Business” of the National Recovery and Recovery Plan Resilience “Greece 2.0”, funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU.
The objective of the program is to improve the energy efficiency of enterprises and reduce primary energy consumption and consequently carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, by at least 30% for each business.
The program is addressed to existing businesses operating in the Greek Territory with a Greek VAT number, are active on the date of application submission participation and have been established until 31.12.2023.
small businesses can submit applications with a maximum budget of eligible costs of 20,000 euros, with the percentage of the respective support to be formed at 50% of them, i.e. up to 10,000 euros. medium and large businesses can file applications with a maximum budget of eligible expenses of 25,000 euros, with the percentage of the corresponding support reaching 40% of them, can receive support, also up to 10,000 euros.
Expenses covered with “Change device for business”
The program covers expenses for:
- Heating systems using heat pumps (including solar thermal systems for increasing the efficiency of heat pumps and through heat storage)
- Solar heating systems
- Smart energy meters (behind the grid meter)
- Other energy-saving interventions, through the installation of energy-efficient equipment and systems to save energy in the production, storage, distribution of products, as well as the operation of companies
Submit applications
The businesses who wish to participate in “Save – Change device for businesses”, submit a financing application when the program is activated, through its online platform (https://exoikonomo-epixeiro2023.gov.gr/).
