“#Her_Research”: The 3rd cycle for the support of women in research by SEGE begins
The pioneering initiative of the Association of Business Women of Greece (SEGE) “#Her_Research”, after its successful acceptance by the scientific, research and financial community, continues in 2024 with its third event.
SEGE announces the start of the third cycle of the action “#Her_Research” continuing the support and empowerment of women active in the field of research, innovation and knowledge.
Thus, it continues to contribute to the strengthening of know-how, research and innovation, basic conditions for encouraging women researchers to be more active in terms of claiming funding and putting themselves at the head of Research Groups.
Aiming at empowering women researchers in terms of know-how, their access to funding, as well as facilitating their networking in the business world, the action #Her_Research, rewards innovative ideas, services and products.
Having the outstanding success of the first two cycles under its belt, the “#Her_Research” action continues to highlight the connection of scientific research with business activity. It is worth noting that in the first cycle 25 applications were submitted, of which 13 candidate research groups and 1 winner emerged, while correspondingly in the second cycle 58 applications were submitted (42 candidate research groups and 8 winners).

Entries
The action can be participated by research groups and/or individual female researchers who have not yet entered the field of business and their activity is not already supported by other official actions.

Submission Deadline: January 31, 2024.
Awards
The prizes of the action will be awarded for each field separately.
In particular:
- First Prize (A’) where 3 research teams will receive FREE research proposal writing support for Horizon Europe or an equivalent research program from a specialized team of technical advisors,
- Second Prize (B’) where 5 research groups will receive FREE of charge a full training and consulting package of 10 hours from a specialized team of technical consultants.
- Finally, Bonus Award where all participating researchers will attend a 2-hour specialized seminar on research resources and 2 hours of Mentoring on the topic.
Scientific Committee: The evaluation process of the research proposals for award in the 3rd Round “#Her_Research” will be coordinated and supervised by a Scientific Committee, which is made up of university professors from all over Greece and will be announced soon.
The applications for participation will be collected and evaluated by the Evaluation Committee appointed by the Association of Business Women of Greece – SEGE.
