DYPA: Applications for the second cycle of the employment program in lignite areas with a grant of up to €16,794
On, Monday, November 7, 2022 at 13:00, the submission of online applications by businesses for the second cycle of the labor subsidy program for the recruitment of 3,400 unemployed, former employees of businesses in the regions of Western Macedonia and Peloponnese of DYPA, affected by the effects of de-lignification, begins.
The deadline for applications is 21 December at 15:00.
The program has a total budget of ECU 48 million. euros co-funded by Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund), through the OP “Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020” and is addressed to companies operating in the Region of Western Macedonia and the Municipalities of Megalopolis, Tripoli, Gortynia, Sparta, Oichalia and Kalamata.
Beneficiaries are unemployed persons registered in the unemployment register of DYPA who have been employed for any period of time from 1/1/2019 onwards:
- In the field of energy (PPC). Former temporary staff of PPC or formerly employed by PPC contractors
- In the transport and earthmoving sector related to lignite mining
- In enterprises active in the field of wholesale and retail trade, the catering and in the the tourism sector, as well as
- In other enterprises
The duration of the program is 12-18 months. The part of salary and contribution subsidy ranges between 75-100%. The amount of the subsidy ranges from €700 to €933 per month and from €8,397 to €16,794 in total, depending on the category of the unemployed person and the sector of the company they worked in. On the subsidisation of wage and non-wage costs Holiday gifts and holiday allowance are included.

Businesses interested in participating in the program, submit their application exclusively online through the State Aid Information System (SSI) of the Ministry of Development & Investments at the following address: http://www.ependyseis.gr.
Then, the employment consultants of DYPA nominate candidates to the company, according to the specialty and the required qualifications, and the company selects among the candidates for recruitment.
