For these programmes, the General Secretariat for Industry draws up final guides with a view to the publication of the relevant calls in the near future.
Expected projects from the General Secretariat for Industry
- Action "Modern Manufacturing": To finance business plans of small and medium-sized enterprises. It aims to transform the manufacturing production base of the Greek economy towards new or diversified production lines, products and manufacturing services.
- Action "Strengthening the Environmental Industry": To finance business plans for the business exploitation of liquid, solid and gaseous waste and third party waste, with the production and disposal of raw materials and intermediate or final products and services of high added value.
- Action "Development of Local Business Parks for Manufacturing and Supply Chain": Attempts to orient and mobilize business entities in local economies towards the development and operation of organized Business Parks of various categories based on Law 3982/2011.
- Action 'strengthening value added chains' means: It is addressed to existing SMEs, mainly active in the nine priority sectors of the economy. It involves the financing of cluster development projects in the form of vertical and/or horizontal interconnections between enterprises in the logic of value chaining, in order to achieve economies of scale and common objectives (e.g. uptake of new markets).
- Action "Extroversion - Internationalization of SMEs": It aims to strengthen the extrovert entrepreneurship of new and existing, mainly manufacturing SMEs, as a key option for upgrading the country's production base.
- Action "Utilization of Business Experience - Business Restart": It has at the same time with its development purpose and a strong social dimension. It concerns the establishment of new businesses by unemployed people over the age of 45. This programme will provide a framework for new business opportunities to unemployed people who have previously been in business or have significant professional experience to do so. The aim of the Program is to contribute to their reintegration into the labor market.
Finally, action plans are being drawn up to strengthen the textile sector with the production of raw materials (silk, cotton).
