Η Δράση, Υποστήριξη Επιχειρήσεων για την Υλοποίηση Επενδυτικών Σχεδίων που αφορούν ανάπτυξη Καινοτόμων Υπηρεσιών Προστιθέμενης Αξίας ICT4Growth, στοχεύει στην ενίσχυση επιχειρηματικών δραστηριοτήτων τεχνολογικής και επιχειρησιακής καινοτομίας, μέσα από την υλοποίηση αντίστοιχων επενδυτικών σχεδίων με απώτερο σκοπό την ανάπτυξη νέων Υπηρεσιών Προστιθέμενης Αξίας.

Με δεδομένη την μεγάλη σημασία των Τεχνολογιών Πληροφορίας και Επικοινωνίας (ΤΠΕ) για την ανταγωνιστικότητα των επιχειρήσεων και το δυσμενές οικονομικό κλίμα στην Ελλάδα, η παρούσα Δράση αποκτά μεγάλη σημασία, ιδιαίτερα για τον κλάδο της πληροφορικής. Οι παραπάνω επενδύσεις θα στοχεύουν κυρίως:

- Strengthening healthy entrepreneurship through the appropriate use of ICT.
- The substantial strengthening of the ICT services sector of the Greek economy (in terms of competitiveness and extroversion).
- The creation of new products, services and value-added content that may have commercial potential and sustainability.

Object of the Value Added Action ICT4Growth

- Reinforced investments

The Action supports mature investment projects for the design, development and commercialisation of innovative value-added products and services related to or based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

The products and services to be developed through the investment projects can be targeted at both individual consumers and other businesses. They may also relate to the final product/service or part of a more complex system. In any case, the result of the investment (product or service) should:

- is technologically mature and fully operational in relation to its intended purpose,
- harnesses cutting-edge technologies,
- characterised by innovation in terms of the technologies used, the nature of the services provided or the overall business model of deployment,
- be addressed to a clearly defined target market and meet the identified and real needs of that market,
- is competitive compared to similar products or services that may be available abroad (where a competitive market already exists).

In order to ensure that the aid in question is necessary and serves as an incentive to develop the activities referred to in this measure, investments which the beneficiary would have developed anyway under prevailing market conditions are not eligible. For this reason, it is noted that no actions related to the implementation of the proposed operational plan should have taken place before the date of submission of the relevant proposal under the Action.

- Thematic areas of ICT4Growth Value Added

As this Action constitutes an overall development framework for the promotion of innovative entrepreneurship, there are no restrictions as to the specific scope of the investment projects and the thematic sectors/markets to which it is addressed.

In any case, priority will be given to investments in dynamic growth sectors of the international economy. Particularly in sectors that can give a competitive advantage to the Greek economy, as well as in important foreign markets.

Indicatively and not restrictively, value added services may concern:

- Ενέργεια και πράσινη ανάπτυξη (προϊόντα και υπηρεσίες για smart grids, διαχείριση ενεργειακών πόρων, διαχείριση ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας κλπ.).
- Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (e.g. traceability & food safety, automated farm management, etc.).
- Tourism, Culture and Entertainment (Online gaming, destination mgt, virtual tours etc.).
- Health and welfare (support for the elderly or patients with chronic diseases, telemedicine, etc.).
- Electronic Communications.
-Transport.
- The new global Internet market (e.g. social web, semantic web, internet of things etc.)

Επισημαίνεται ότι οι ενισχυόμενες επενδύσεις για τη Δράση, Support for Businesses for the Implementation of Investment Plans for the Development of Innovative Value Added Services ICT4Growth, αφορούν την προσφορά νέων υπηρεσιών ή προϊόντων που βασίζονται στις ΤΠΕ και απευθύνονται στους ανωτέρω (ενδεικτικά) κλάδους και όχι τη ζήτηση (προμήθεια) αντίστοιχων τεχνολογιών για μεμονωμένες παραγωγικές επενδύσεις.
