Young and young entrepreneurs, 18-35 years old, are invited by the CMOP - Centre for Social Action and Innovation and the Amazing Youth to participate, until 20 June 2023, in the STARS4SD Awards, which are being held within the framework of a European project.
Entrepreneurs are invited to share their own sustainability story and apply for participation in European training programmes on youth entrepreneurship.
The aim is to reward businesses that incorporate the principle of sustainability in their activities, operations and practices, and to help them become more widely known in Greece and Europe.
Specifically, businesses will be assessed on the basis of their adoption of the following five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- providing quality education
- gender equality
- decent work and economic growth
- reducing inequalities
- responsible consumption and production
The deadline for submission of applications is Tuesday 20 June 2023.
The awards
The two winners of the competition will have the opportunity to participate free of charge in European training programmes on youth entrepreneurship.
The first winner will travel to an EU country (the exact place and time will be finalised in the coming months) to attend training and meet other young entrepreneurs from Europe. The second one will attend a 4-day training programme that will take place in October 2023, in Monemvasia. It is noted that in both cases all expenses will be paid.
The winners will be selected at a special event to be held in early July, where the finalists will have the opportunity to present their initiative to the jury, other entrepreneurs and the wider public. Winners will also have the opportunity to prepare a video of their business story, which will be presented at the final Stars4SD conference in Brussels in November 2023.
