Social tourism: the platform for the 300,000 cheques has opened

Today, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 10:00, the submission of online applications for beneficiaries and providers for participation in the Social Tourism Programme for Employees - Unemployed for the period 2023-2024 of the Public Employment Service( PES ) begins.

For the first time, the programme will start one month earlier, on 1 July 2023 instead of 1 August. It concerns 300,000 cheques with a total budget of €35 million.

The procedure of applications for an ERDF

The cheque, which is used for the participation process, is a unique number for each beneficiary and each beneficiary separately. Beneficiaries-beneficiaries can spend up to 6 nights in a tourist accommodation chosen from the "Register of Providers" of DYPA, after direct agreement with the provider, with a small private contribution. Especially for accommodation in Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos and Evros,up to 10 nights with zero private participation, while in the accommodation of Municipalities of Istiaiaia - Edipsos and Mantoudi - Limni - Ag. Anna of B. Evia and Samos up to 12 nights can be booked free of charge.

Subsidy rates remain increased by 20% for the peak month of August, as last year. In addition, for the first time they are increased by 20% during the Christmas (from 15.12.2023 to 14.01.2024) and Easter (from 26.04.2024 to 12.05.2024) periods. The increase is valid all year round for accommodation in North Evia and Samos.

In addition to accommodation in tourist accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidised. The participation of the general category of beneficiaries is 25% and 20% for large families. For disabled persons, the ferry tickets are free of charge.

For the first time, this year's programme expands the categories of beneficiaries, while vulnerable groups are strengthened, as a bonus is provided for people with disabilities and single parents.

Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries are:

  • workers with a dependent private-law employment relationship on the closing date for applications; or
  • insured in the eEFKA in their professional category with contributions to the unemployment branch of the DYPA at any time between 01.01.2022 and the day before the deadline for submission of applications or
  • unemployed persons with a continuous period of unemployment of at least three months on the closing date for applications

The income of beneficiaries in all categories must not exceed €30,000, except in the case of long-term unemployed, who, if unmarried, must have income up to 16.000 euros, up to 24.000 euros if they are married, plus EUR 3,000 per child or, if they are single parents, up to EUR 27,000, plus EUR 3 000 per child after the first.

Submission of applications ERDF for Social Tourism

Applications will be submitted exclusively online through the Single Digital Portal of Public Administration (gov.gr) using the TAXISnet codes, at the following address: here .

Specifically the route is: Home - Work and Insurance - Compensation and Benefits - Social Tourism Programmes (STPs).

The platform will be gradually opened according to the last digit of the last VAT number of the beneficiaries concerned until 05.06.2023 at 23:59, when it will remain open for all VAT numbers, as follows:

The selection of beneficiaries is based on the prioritisation of specific criteria(disabled, single parent, number of children, income) in an objective and transparent manner through the Integrated Information System (IIS) of the DYPA.

It is noted that workers and unemployed persons who are subsidised for their participation in a social tourism programme of any other organisation for the same period cannot participate in the programme.

Supporting documents relating to the conditions of participation or the classification of beneficiaries are sought ex officio. In cases where supporting documents are required because it is not possible to search for them spontaneously, they are attached to the applications.

Example 1

  • Family with 2 children choosing 6 nights in a 3 star hotel with breakfast in August:
  • For accommodation the cost is shared as follows:
  • DYPA subsidy: 806,40 € (2 doubles x 67,20 € /day x 6 nights)
  • Private Participation: 96 € (2 doubles x 8€/day x 6 nights)

Example 2

  • Couple choosing 12 nights in a 4 star hotel with breakfast in Samos in September:
  • For accommodation the cost is shared as follows:
  • DYPA subsidy: 1.036,80 € (1 double room X 86,40 € /day X 12 nights)
  • Private Participation: 0 €
  • For ferry services the cost is shared as follows:
  • Ferry ISPA subsidy: 111 € (55,55 € x 2 persons)
  • Private Ferry Participation: 55,5 € (27,75 € x 2 persons)
  • The total cost is shared as follows:
  • Total subsidy for the ERDF: 1.147,80 €
  • Total private participation: 55,5 €

The providers of the programme are tourist accommodation and ferry companies, as defined in the Public Call. The applications of the interested providers will be submitted exclusively online through the Single Digital Portal of the Public Administration ( gov.gr ) using the TAXISnet codes, at the following address: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/parohoi-tourismou .

The submission of applications by providers will be possible from 30.05.2023 to 05.06.2023, regardless of their VAT number.
