Social tourism: over 1,400 accommodation facilities in the new programme – “Open” platform for providers

A total of 1,414 tourist accommodation establishments are already participating in the Register of Providers in the enhanced Social Tourism 2023/24 Programme of the DYPA which started for the first time this year a month earlier, on 1 July instead of 1 August.

Specifically, most accommodation is located in Evia (224), followed by Pieria with 100, Halkidiki and Preveza with 79 respectively and Magnesia with 56.

Regarding the category of the participating accommodation, 24% of the accommodation consists of 3-star rooms, 20% of 3-star hotels and 19% of 2-star hotels:

The capacity

Regarding the capacity of accommodation, most of them belong to the categories of 31-50 beds and 11-20 beds, followed by the category of 21-30 beds:

The platform is open

The platform for joining the Register of Providers and the Social Tourism programme remains open. Providers can submit their applications exclusively online via gov.gr with their TAXISnet codes, at:

It is recalled that both this year, the following are planned increased subsidy rates of 20% for the peak month of August, but, in addition, for the first time shall be increased by 20% and by the periods of Christmas (from 15.12.2023 to 14.01.2024) and Easter (from 26.04.2024 to 12.05.2024), while the increase applies to all year round for the accommodation of B. Evia and Samos.

Beneficiaries of last year's program who have not yet activated their cheques can take a holiday until 31 July 2023.
