The Association of Greek Food and Beverage Industries (SEVT) announced the the 13th national competition for the creation of ecological - innovative food products, Ecotrophelia 2023
. SEVT organizes since 2011 the competition Ecotrophelia, which has become an institution, with great impact and major European awards. The competition gives the possibility to new students who are involved in the food science , to showcase their creative spirit and innovative proposals, in addition to creating a source of ideas for the industry.
All those eligible to participate in the national competition are undergraduate and postgraduate students of higher education institutions and research institutes in the country, which will develop their own an innovative food product, which must have elements of eco-innovation and which will be tasted by the national evaluation committee.
Five awards Ecotrophelia
The competition includes five prizes:
- the gold prize with a cash prize of 1,500 euros
- the silver prize with a prize money of 1,200 euros
- the bronze prize with a cash prize of 1,000 euros
- the prize for the best presentation with a prize money of 800 euros
- the prize for the best marketing & marketing plan, with a cash prize of 800 euros
- The winning team of the national competition will participate in a second phase in the European competition Ecotrophelia 2023, which will take place in the framework of the international exhibition "Anuga" in Cologne. The European competition will involve all the winning teams from European countries that have been selected at national level.
For participation in the national competition the deadlines are:
- Friday 31 March 2023: Submit Entry Form
- Friday 19 May 2023: Submission of the Detailed Technical File
The evaluation of the competing products and the award ceremony will take place in Athens on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
