The training and certification of employees in Greek enterprises, with regard to the creation and use of applications for mobile devices (mobile apps), promotes the Association of Innovative Applications Enterprises of Greece (SEKEE), through the subsidised training programme entitled "Departmental and Operational mobile applications and how businesses can use them".

The program is implemented within the framework of the E.P. "Competitiveness Entrepreneurship and Innovation 2014-2020". The object of the project is training of 1,250 workers in private companies of the country, from all sectors/branches of the economy, who wish to develop and improve their knowledge, skills and job position, as well as to enhance their professional mobility prospects.

"It's about a program which offers the opportunity to private sector workers to acquire specialized knowledge in a subject, as are the mobile apps, which have gained particular importance in the modern business environment", noted Manos Makromallis, vice president of the d.s. of SEKEE and responsible for the implementation of the action.

Themes of training for the mobile apps

The training program aims to provide training in the main thematic units of enterprise mobility, with an emphasis on:

• Technological developments in mobile apps and general presentation of best practices
• Sectoral and functional applications of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) and how businesses can use them
• Designing innovative mobile services
• Strategic use of IT in business

The training program has a duration of 80 hours, of which 16 hours will be online with lecturers, while the remaining 64 will take place via an e-learning platform. The seminars are delivered outside working hours and the participants are paid 5 euros/hour gross.

At the end of the training cycle, each participant is certified in the skills they acquired through a written test. With its successful completion, you receive certification from SEKEE, as well as the total fee of the program.

The deadline for submitting applications for the first cycle of the program is set until 18/2/2022.
