On Wednesday, 14 September 2022 at 15:00, the deadline PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE for the submission of electronic applications by businesses for the First cycle of the labour subsidy programme for the recruitment of 3,400 unemployed, former employees of enterprises in the regions of Western Macedonia and Peloponnese affected by the effects of delignification.

The programme has a total budget of ECU 48 million. euros, is addressed to companies that are active in:

• in the Region of Western Macedonia and
• in the Municipalities of Megalopolis
• Tripoli
• Gortynias
• Sparta
• Oichalias
• Kalamata

Beneficiaries are unemployed registered in the unemployment register of PES for a period of at least one month at the time of their nomination to businesses, who were employed any period from 1/1/2019 onwards:

1. In the field of energy (PPC). Former PPC temporary staff or former employees of PPC contractors,
2. In the field of transport and earthworks related to lignite mining,
3. Businesses active in the wholesale and retail trade, catering and tourism sectors, as well as
4. To other businesses.

The duration of the program is 12-18 months.The salary and contribution subsidy rate varies between 75-100%. The grant amount ranges from €700 to €933 per month and from €8,397 to €16,794 in total, depending on the category of the unemployed person and the sector of the company he was working in. The subsidy for wage and non-wage costs includes holiday gifts and holiday allowance.

Businesses interested in participating in the programme, submit their application exclusively online through the State Aid Information System (PΣKE) of the Ministry of Development & Investments at the following address: www.ependyseis.gr .

Then, the employment consultants of PES indicate to the company candidates, according to the specialty and the required qualifications. Then the company chooses among the candidates for recruitment.
