Extended until Thursday, 31 March 2022, the deadline for the submission of online business applications for the new labour subsidy programme for the recruitment of 3.400 unemployed . The OAED program concerns workers in businesses in the regions of Western Macedonia and Peloponnese. Enterprises affected by the effects of de-lignification, in full-time positions.

Target Audience

The program, of a total budget of 48 million euros, addressed to businesses operating in the Region of Western Macedonia and in the Municipalities:

• Megalopolis
• Tripoli
• Gortynias
• Sparta
• Oichalias
• Kalamata

Beneficiaries are unemployed people registered in the PES register of Employment Promotion Centers (EPC2) located in areas of responsibility of:

• P.E. Kozani (KPA2 Kozani and Ptolemaida)
• P.E. Florina (KPA2 Florina and Amyntaio)
• KPA2 Tripoli (for registered unemployed of the Municipality of Megalopolis)

The period of absence from the labor market is defined as at least one month.

The duration of the program is 12-18 months. The salary and contribution subsidy rate varies between 75-100%. The amount of the grant varies between 700 - 933 euros per month and 8,397 - 16,794 euros in total, depending on the category of the unemployed person and the branch of the company he worked for. The subsidy for wage and non-wage costs includes holiday gifts and holiday allowance.

Businesses interested in participating in the program submit their application exclusively electronically through the State Aid Information System (PASKE) of the Ministry of Development & Investments, at the following address: http://www.ependyseis.gr/mis. Then, the labor advisers of the PES refer candidates to the company, according to the specialty and required qualifications and the company chooses among the candidates for the recruitment.

Work experience acquisition program for 2,000 young unemployed people

In addition, the process of submitting electronic applications for the new program to acquire professional experience for 2,000 young unemployed people in the Region of Western Macedonia (1,450 positions) and in the Municipalities continues:

• Megalopolis
• Tripoli
• Gortynias
• Sparta
• Oichalias
• Kalamata of the Peloponnese Region (550 places)

The total budget amounts to14 millions euro.

Who it concerns the OAED programme

The program is addressed to private sector companies, to public companies, agencies and organizations that regularly carry out economic activity, as well as to first and second level local government businesses that regularly carry out economic activity in the above areas.

Beneficiaries are unemployed people aged 18-29, of any educational level, registered in the PES register for at least one month in the KPA2:

• Kozani
• Ptolemais
• Florina
• Amyntaio
• Kastoria
• of Grevena
• Tripoli (Municipalities of Tripoli, Gortynia and Megalopolis)
• Sparta (Municipality of Sparta)
• Kalamata (Municipalities of Kalamata and Oichalia)

The duration of the program is 7 months and the participants are paid by the PES a monthly compensation equal to the legal minimum wage, as well as a proportion of holiday gifts and leave allowance.

Employers submit a single electronic application to the Integrated Information System ( OAED ) of the OAED (e-services), which is posted on the Agency's website (www.oaed.gr). Then, the PES employment advisers indicate to the company candidates, according to the specialty and the required qualifications, and the company chooses among the candidates for recruitment.
