Workshop on Patents: A source of innovation and entrepreneurship, organised by the Industrial Property Organisation (OBI), the exclusive body in Greece for the registration of patents, trademarks and industrial designs, supervised by the Ministry of Development and Investment.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday 12 July at 10:00 am atMy Way Hotel & Events,in Patras.

The OBI is innovating and has created a new service for start-ups and SMEs in order to support them in patenting their patents.

SMART ELECTRICAL NETWORKS

Smart grids are the future of the energy industry, as they are designed to be more efficient, reliable and sustainable than traditional electricity grids. With the growing demand for clean and renewable energy, smart grids are becoming an essential part of the energy infrastructure in many countries. Smart grid technology is constantly evolving and many companies are investing heavily in research and development of new and innovative solutions in this field.

IMPROVING ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN BUILDINGS

Energy-efficient buildings are structures that are designed, constructed and operated in such a way that minimise energy consumption and reduce their environmental impact. These buildings use energy-efficient technologies, materials and designs to achieve optimal levels of thermal comfort and lighting, while minimising energy waste. The need for energy efficient buildings is becoming increasingly important due to rising energy costs. The study focuses on the general area of improving the energy efficiency of buildings and explores the supporting technologies.
