The online submission of applications for the admission of students to the seven new OAED Experimental Vocational Schools for the school year 2021/22, in three specialties in the field of tourism and hospitality, has started. Online applications can be submitted until Monday 15 November.

Those who are 18 years of age or older, hold at least a high school diploma and have a good knowledge of a foreign language (English or French or German) are eligible to apply. Specifically, the route is: gov.gr → Education → Enrollment in a school → Enrollment in an experimental vocational school of OAED

The OAED Experimental Vocational Schools will operate in 7 cities (Athens, Thessaloniki, Corfu, Crete, Mytilene, Patras and Rhodes) and will apply the Western system of education that combines theoretical and laboratory training with apprenticeship (learning in a workplace with pay and insurance) in companies. The theoretical part will take place in the schools from November to April, while the Apprenticeship in business will take place from May to October. The students' remuneration corresponds to at least € 21.78 for each day of apprenticeship in a workplace for 2 years.

The cooperation of OAED with the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises, who have extensive experience in the field of vocational education and tourism, guarantees the placement of all apprentices in apprenticeship positions in distinguished enterprises of the tourism industry (4 and 5 star hotels), but also enhances the prospect of their professional rehabilitation after the completion of studies.

The students of EPA.S. OAED apprenticeship:

• They carry out apprenticeships in companies with remuneration and insurance
• Study in modern and fully equipped laboratories
• They are provided with the necessary books and aids
• They are trained by experienced and well-trained educational staff
• They are entitled to deferment of conscription
• Eligible persons receive housing and food allowance
