With three of the first four actions for entrepreneurship from the new NSRF not yet closed, since continuous extensions are given, the competent ministry is preparing to announce three more.

Grants for businesses, clusters and the environment

Information says that the first action, initial budget 40 million euros concerns support for existing medium-sized enterprises. Enterprises employing between 50 and 250 employees, which are active in agri-food, energy, technology or are innovative.

Aid from this action, which is due to be announced during the summer, will range from 35% to 70% of the total investment amount for investments of up to 3 million euros.

They will cover either part of the investment costs or part of the wage costs.

In addition to this program, another one is going to "come out" in the near future, amounting to 22,5 million euros. It will concern Clusters and Incubators.

Today, however, the Minister of Economy, Giorgos Stathakis, the Deputy Minister Alexis Charitsis and the Deputy Minister of Environment, Giannis Tsironis, at the press conference they will give at noon, will talk about the publication of calls for a total budget. 500 million euros within the framework of the Operational Programme "Transport Infrastructure, Environment & Sustainable Development 2014-2020". This is the activation of actions of the new NSRF, which concern the protection of the environment and the upgrading of the quality of life of citizens.

Questions - pending issues of older NSRF programs

Of course, the question is, and it remains to be answered, what happens to the first three actions on entrepreneurship and specifically on: "Upgrading micro & small existing businesses by developing their capabilities in new markets", "Start-up Entrepreneurship", and "Support for small and medium-sized tourism enterprises (SMEs) for their modernization and the upgrading of the quality of the services provided", which are given extensions.

There are also questions about the unallocated funds of the National Fund for Entrepreneurship and Development. They are in danger of being lost, as the President of the Fund, Costas Galiatsos, said a few days ago. According to him, the funds currently available to ETEAN amount to approximately 60 million euro. Added to this is an equal shareholding by the banks, the total funds to be made available amount to 120 million euros.

An amount that ND raises to 300 million euro. Yesterday, the head of the European Affairs Section of New Democracy, Member of Parliament for the First Region of Thessaloniki, Mr. Stavros Kalafatis and the head of the Development and Competitiveness Sector, Member of Parliament for Athens B, Mrs. Anna Michelle Asimakopoulou, launched an attack on the Government on the grounds of the risk of losing resources from European financial instruments to support small and medium-sized enterprises.

According to them, more than 300,000,000 euros from financial instruments such as JESSICA, JEREMIE, TEPIX, etc. they remain unsold. They will have to be disbursed by the end of September.
