For the third consecutive year, "New Georgia New Generation" implements for the third consecutive year the Agroanelixi agri-food acceleration programme. It invites micro and small food businesses with an annual turnover of more than €30,000 to submit their application by 22 July.
The Agroanelexis Acceleration Programme supports agri-food businesses aiming at shaping a new business mindset in the sector and developing new diversified food products through sustainable business efforts.
To date, the Agroanelixi programme has supported 25 businesses and cottage industries from 17 prefectures throughout Greece. In addition to business training, mentoring and personalised advisory services, the enterprises have received a total of €110,500 in financial support for the development of new services and products. As a result, 23 new food products have been developed and are currently on the market.
Who it concerns the Agroprogression
The third cycle of Agroanelexis entitled "Farm2Product" is addressed to micro and small food processing companies from all over Greece. Businesses that want:
- develop their existing products
- and/or create new diversified products based on the special raw materials of the Greek land
- place them in the international market
More specifically, the Agroanelexis - Farm2Product accelerator programme will give 10 food businesses the opportunity to grow and develop. This will be achieved through a seven-month acceleration programme. Businesses will participate in training workshops, where they will receive:
- practical business knowledge
- stimuli and guidance, for the creation of new diversified products with an export character
- Consulting support from experienced market executives based on their specific needs
For their further development and product development will receive financial support from the organization. Businesses go through a process of assessing their progress during the acceleration program They will receive financial support of up to €5,000 for the purchase of equipment and services. Five of them will receive financial support of 3,000 euros. This aid will be intended for the development of their diversified products. It will be given with the support of the organization New Agriculture New Generation. Each company will receive financial support of up to 700 euros for the certification of its production and products. The two companies with the most progress during the program will receive a scholarship for their participation in the certified online vocational training program Agrifood Exports 360o. A program that specializes in the export of agri-food products. Through the acceleration program, businesses will have the opportunity to get in touch with experts from the Food Innovation Center at Rutgers University.
