Mytilineos: Applications for the 7th round of the “Engineers in Practice” program are now open.

The successful paid internship program “Engineers in Action” starts its 7th cycle and invites young and new graduates Engineers to start their professional life at MYTILINEOS.

Since 2014 when this pioneering program started, it has been recognized as an institution, as hundreds of engineers have taken their first professional steps in real working conditions, gaining valuable experience and skills.

MYTILINEOS invites again this year young and young Engineers to take part in the selection process, to work for one year on exciting projects in the two business branches, in the subsidiaries or in the Central Operations and Services of the company:

Metallurgy Branch

  • Be part of the historic factory Aluminum of Greece, one of the strong pillars of the Greek industry, with an annual production capacity exceeding 190,000 tons in primary aluminum, 50,000 tons recycled Aluminum and the 865,000 tons of alumina.

Energy Branch

  • M Renewables: Engage in pioneering renewable energy and energy storage projects that shape clean and sustainable solutions. Explore our international RES portfolio with projects totaling more than 13 GW.
  • M Power Projects: Take part in specialized, large-scale energy projects aimed at the energy transition. From conventional electricity generation projects to smart cities & IoT platforms.
  • M Energy Generation & Management: See closely projects related to the management and operation of thermal power generation units.
  • M Energy Customer Solutions: Offered reliable energy solutions, competitive products and modern services to businesses, professionals and households.
  • M Integrated Supply & Trading: Take part in the supply and management of natural gas and other energy products in Greece and abroad.

MYTILINEOS Central Services

Technology Department: Design and develop technology solutions to address various challenges and improve the organization’s operations.

METKA ATE

  • Discover the construction industry, infrastructure and waste management projects and more.

All the participants of the program, as they have stated themselves, gained particularly positive experiences, with the most important:

  • finding a job after the end of the program,
  • acquiring practical experience that complements academic knowledge,
  • the improvement of their professional skills,
  • acquiring international exposure and experience in cutting-edge technologies, but also
  • greater confidence and optimism for the future.

The criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate from Polytechnic Schools or Engineering Schools in Greece or abroad, such as Mechanical Engineers, Electricians, Chemists, Mineralogists/Metallurgists, Civil Engineers or other relevant specialties.
  • Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English.
  • Excellent computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
  • Work experience up to three years.
  • Possibility of relocation to areas of Greece where MYTILINEOS operates: Athens, Thessaloniki, White Houses of Paralia Distomo and construction sites in many foreign countries.
  • Fulfilled military obligations, for male candidates
  • Master degree / MBA (preferred).
