More than 2,000 approvals and 9,400 pre-approvals of loans under the My Home for the Homeless housing programme young people and young couplesaccording to figures released by the DYPA.

In particular, regarding the implementation of the new housing programme " My House", the DYPA informs that during a 7-week period, from 3 April to 22 May:

• A total of 31.506 applications were submitted of which 13.632 have already been assessed, i.e. more than 4 out of 10 (43%)
• Out of the 13.632 applications evaluated, 9.414 were pre-approved, i.e. almost 7 out of 10 (69%), with an average pre-approval amount of €112.083, while the rest were rejected as they did not meet the requirements.
• Of the 9,414 pre-approvals, 2,071 loans have already been approved, i.e. more than 1 in 5 (22%), as a property has already been found and the legal and technical inspection has started, with an average approval amount of €104,835
• In total, for the 2,071 approved loans, 162,834,221€ have been committed, i.e. 43% of the initial funding of 375,000,000€ of the ISPA
• 70% of approved loans are for borrowers with an income of €12,000 to €24,000 and 15% for borrowers with an income of up to €12,000, while 64% are for couples
• 37% of the approved loans are for the purchase of a first home in Attica, 22% in Central Macedonia, 7% in Thessaly and 6% in Western Greece.

It is recalled that through the programme My house, young people or young couples aged 25-39 can acquire a home with monthly instalment significantly lower than that of the market mortgages, as 75% of the capital is granted interest-free by the DYPA, while for the third and large families (and those who acquire this status) the loan is interest-free in its entirety.
