AI skills are now the third most important priority in the training strategies of companies worldwide, along with analytical and creative thinking. Microsoft, responding to this need and recognising the potential and possibilities that can be offers the AI to the empowerment of workers around the world, launches the initiative AI Skills. Aimed at helping the wider public to harness the potential of artificial intelligence, the company's new initiative includes the free training and certification Professional Certificate on Generative AI in five integrated programmes and guidelines developed in partnership with LinkedIn and made available through the platform.
The five Microsoft programs
The five programmes are:
- What Is Generative AI?
- Generative AI: The Evolution of Thoughtful Online Search
- Streamlining Your Work with Microsoft Bing Chat
- Ethics in the Age of Generative AI
- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
By participating in the above programs, trainees will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive overview of the basic concepts of AI and learn more specifically about the functionality of generative AI. From the wider familiarity with the most useful AI tools, the training in the differences between search engines and reasoning engines to create thoughtful search strategies, as the learning to use Microsoft Bing Chat in order to optimize workflows, the certification is another step in the effort of Microsoft ensure that all workers will have access to the latest artificial intelligence tools.
The certification is already available in English and will be available free of charge until 2025, and like all Microsoft certifications, it is recognised in public sector tenders.
