KYPA: Applications for the 100% subsidised work experience programme until 27/12

On Tuesday 27 December 2022, the deadline for submission of business applications for the Work experience programme for 10,000 unemployed young people, 18-29 years old, in the regions of Attica and Central Macedonia of DYPA. Already, 7,500 young people have started working. At the same time, applications for the remaining 2,500 posts continue to be submitted at a high rate.

The new 7-month programmeaims to boost young people' s access to the labour market by subsidising the acquisition of work experience. DYPA pays beneficiaries a monthly allowance equal to the legal minimum net salary (with full social security contributions). A proportion of holiday bonuses and holiday allowance is also paid.

The beneficiaries are 10,000 unemployed young people aged 18-29. They must have completed at least compulsory education. They must also be registered in the unemployment registers of the Employment Promotion Centres of the DYPA located in the areas of competence of the Region of Attica and the Region of Central Macedonia.

A prerequisite is that the company must not have made a reduction in staff due to the termination of an employment contract in the three months prior to the submission of the application.

Businesses interested in participating should submit an online application through the DYPA website. In it, they shall specify the speciality and the educational level of the post.

ΔΥΠΑ confirms that the undertaking business fulfils the conditions. The job counsellors nominate candidates according to the qualifications required for the vacancy. Then the company selects the beneficiary and they sign a cooperation agreement.

The project, with a total budget of 68.000.000 euros, is co-funded by the Greek State and the European Social Fund/Youth Employment Initiative under the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020.
