In the phase of the tendering process for the nomination and awarding the five most innovative ideas the Green Entrepreneurship Online Workshops of the project GreenTecLab: Empowering start-ups to protect the climate of Crete. The training cycle was successfully completed by the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Technical Schools of the Heraklion Chamber of Crete participated in this cycle.
The competition will take place on May 12, 2022 in Heraklion, Crete. Participants will present their business ideas. The young people, who will be distinguished, will enjoy a series of awards and Mentoring services for one year, from mentors of the program. Similar assistance will be provided to institutions in Crete.
The workshops were held online on 5-6 and 12-14 April. Participants were young people from all over Crete, seeking to develop "green" business ideas. Also young people wishing to establish their own "sustainable" startup.
In the framework of the workshops, topics related to "green" entrepreneurship and new "green" technologies and innovations in Greece and abroad were presented.
The participants had the opportunity to attend distinguished speakers. At the same time, they were informed about sustainability in agrotourism and eco-tourism. They also experienced the use of appropriate tools in the analysis and presentation of their ideas.
Startups from Greece and Slovakia shared their experience in implementing their ideas. Well-known entrepreneurs referred to the challenges of the economy and the entrepreneurship and sustainability of a healthy business.
The GreenTecLab project is funded by the European Climate Protection Initiative (EUKI) of the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. Its coordinator is the Research Institute FIAP e.V. and its partners are the University of Cadiz, the University of Seville and the City Hall of Cadiz from Spain, Pedal-Consulting from Slovakia and from Greece the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In Greece, the GreenTecLab project is under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
